Drinking for the Kids (DFTK). How can you resist a memorable and merry evening filled with good cheer and charity? Together, we will help hundreds of less fortunate children in the Minneapolis area to receive a gift this Christmas, all while attending the party of the year!

In our nine year history, we have raised an incredible $29,000 in merchandise donated to Toys for Tots! Last year’s DFTK 2007 was a huge success - with over 315 people in attendance it was our biggest ever.

Are you willing to party like a rock star, mingle with friends and show off some fly dance moves to help us reach our $11,000 goal?

All it takes is a minimum $30 cash donation per person and your ability to enjoy yourself. All of the proceeds we collect will be used to purchase an insane amount of toys. These toys will be given to Toys for Tots, where they are given out to local children.

Let’s all give a toast and thank you to our Friends of DFTK. Without their generosity, this event and the great drink and food specials would not be possible.

Drink specials for the evening include $3 select microbrews and $3 Captain Morgan drinks all night. Select beers will be $1 from 5:00 to 7:00 and from 9:00 to 10:00.  Pracna will also have specific drink specials themed for Drinking for the Kids.

Half price appetizers will be available from 5:00 to 7:00 for purchase. We will be providing veggies/artichoke dip, chips & salsa, cheese & crackers, quesadillas, potato skins, bourbon chicken wings, and other snacks at 9 and 11pm.

FREE over night parking in the attached parking ramp is available, along with cab information to help you find a safe ride home. We want to guarantee that you will have a great time!

We are thrilled to host a number of our local DJ’s keeping the vibe alive, including Jaive, Ryan Lachelt, DJ Sajan’s Daddy, so bring your dancing shoes and get your groove on!

As always, there will be a raffle for items donated by local businesses, including 2 tickets on Sun Country Airlines courtesy of CIAC Travel, Inc., gift certificates for a variety of spa services, a gas grill, iPods, restaurant gift cards, and many others. We are thrilled to receive the continued support through donations from exceptional local businesses. We ask that you continue to show your support for the Friends of DFTK since we simply couldn’t host this event without them.
